Athanasios Badekas graduated from the Military Medical School and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1989).
He specialized in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at the University Clinic of KAT Athens in 1997 and then after scholarship metaikpaideftike to 2000 in Clinical Sports Injuries and Diseases of the Foot and Ankle (Foot and Ankle Fellowship) Hospital for Joint Diseases, New York University and
Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore. Became the first Greek Orthopaedic which was trained in specific subjects and on his return to Greece held for the first time, specific interventions such as Total ankle replacement, tenontometafora posterior tibial tendon acquired flatfoot, osteotomy SCARF, Ludllof Domestic restore hallux valgus (bunions ) osteotomy formula Weil for metatarsals, and most other operations such restoration ankle osteochondral lesions using local autograft with an incision in the lower end of Sports.
